Social Science Research

This function is still being developed and its activities would be guided by the social science research priority as identified in the National Research, Science, Technology and Innovation Programme (NRSTIP). Social sciences and humanities research will be mainly integrated with all the rest of the priority areas supporting the search for scientific and technological solutions for the societal challenges, and supplying evidences and new approaches to contribute to policy development. Research in this field will be closely related to current and emerging societal challenges and in relation to the social and economic objectives. The activities would be includes among other:

• Development and Management of Research programme to support national policies development and implementation.
• Invitation and hosting of researchers from Namibia or abroad to work on identified research projects.
